I once answered the phone and asked who is it and they automatically cut off. I find it strange how this is becoming the norm all of a sudden. I refuse to change my number though if you call me, I think it is only right that you introduce yourself first. Since they did not I know they have something to hide!!! I am glad to let the world know that when you see this number it is not worth picking up. Just leave it & let it ring! I wonder how much their phone call expenses are? Just no, sweet talked into the card (petrol voucher purposes, so not worth it) cancelled in the allotted time, sent the card back and everything with a nice letter, this was 2 months ago. Just had my banks fraud department call to say they are trying to take money from my account (VoL didnt respond to my quitting email or letter btw) so I have had to cancel my bank card and am waiting for a new one. Do not trust them, it really isnt worth it.

NEVER be tempted call unknown numbers back as you may be caught for a very large call charge.

The number as reported has only 10 digits, it needs 11 to be valid. Some Santander numbers do start 05511 so in principle it s probably genuine, except too short.
