Recorded message saying my Amazon account has been compromised. Then asked me to press a number to speak to an advisor.
Purported to be from an unidentified Bank or Credit Card Company advising of unauthorised spends from an account, one £300 and the other £1000. Usual, "press 1" instructions. Hung up as suspect a financial scam.
2 transactions made on my bank account. Asked to press one,to confirm transactions. it was a recorded call.
Answered and hung up

SPAM I kept getting calls from this number and then a doggy voicemail saying we will take legal action. The voicemail sounded like a robot.

SCAM - The Phone rang and caller (a computer) hung up when I didn't speak! This was a computer generated call trying to sniff out voice lines. If you answer then the line will be detected as 'a voice line' and you'll be called back later by a con-artist. They may also be quick to say they are not selling, simply enquiring, surveying, etc. THESE CALLS ARE SCAMS & HARASSING. If ever in doubt tell them to write to you, but DON'T give your address, if genuine they should know it, or just hang up!
Scam Didnt answer but loads of scam calls over the years from 0300 numbers There are 2520 look ups on consumer forums of this number yet you do nothing and they continue masquerading as house repair org and other guises Is it a coincidence get Eastern European dating scam e mail just before the call Regardless ICOAction fraud7726 email160protected and all other reporting agencies do little against prolific perpetrators for years such as 0300 numbers and same m o e mail scammers
