Automatic voice stating they were from HMRC - I hung up promptly as I believe it to be a scam. HMRC always write and never ring mobiles or landlines.

Found listed online as giffgaff Customer service. My mobile phone account was debited by £6.25. Obvious scam as giffgaff as I found out later have no call centre to contact them.
Three calls today. Have my name and landline number even though ex-directory. Claimed to be from my home towns "Workers" whatever that s supposed to be. Phishing for information, did I work in "industry" (didn t specify which). Suspect they re trying to build a mugs list for compensation claim calls.
This man came to my mums address and coned her out of over ?18000 for repairs to the roof I called the police and they called trading standards and the work should only have cost less than ?1000 so I m very keen to catch this vilan if any one can help please leave a comment would be great thanks Robert

I didn't catch the company name but it was something to do with home cover - the man asked if I was me, so I said no but could I help. He said he was ringing about the cover on the washing machine at (gave my address), he said it had expired and he just wanted to check if the machine was still in good working order. This number belongs to a company called Intelling Ltd based at Wythenshawe (Manchester) and Belfast. An O2 customer service representative confirmed that it is an O2 number, or rather that O2 uses this company to sell its services. The Managing Director at Intelling is a chap called Phil Morgan.
