Got my name wrong and told me it was not a sales call. She hung up when I said I was glad she was not making a sale call because we were on the TPS. I might have sworn at her and she hung up.
Said they were calling from "energy research Scotland" and would organise for Penicuik to come and quote for windows which they would be paying 70% of - can t find this organisation online anywhere so guess it s just a misleading sales tactic for above!

The call was aimed at a person who had moved out four years ago so I think they are using an old list. I mentioned Data Protection Act and told them not to ring again.

This is from a company called 'Energy Search'- it's a scam to switch you onto their tariff without your informed consent. They claim that your contract has expired, and that you're being charged 40% more. I believe that they got my details from Facebook (seems legit), because they referred to me by my shop name (I don't have an official premises at the moment, I have market stalls). When I asked them if this was where they got my number from, both times they hung up. Lovely.
