Woman with strong accent (China /Indonesian) called saying she was from Microsoft. Asked if I was the owner of my computer. I hung up at that point - as suspected a scam.
Said they were from sky technical department. They weren't. They tell you your internet connection is slow and ask you to play about with your router and device so they can hack it and steal personal information/ passwords. DO NOT ANSWER!

Telemarketing SCAM 27.05.23 at 12:03. "LIFE COVER TELEMARKETER CLAIMING TO BE FROM DEP. OF HEALTH" Caller asked if I was Mr. "First name" yes I said, because it was my first name. Caller claimed to be from the Department of Health and Social care asking is if I was fully COVID vaccinated. I had rung Jenkinsons a couple of years ago for a quote. They must have kept my details as they rang me back just before my renewal to offer me another one. Adam was really nice on the phone and offered me a really good price that I have now taken out.
Young girl phoned claiming I d been in a car accident. Played her at her own game and said "yes, you ve got all the details haven t you." She put me on to her foreign sounding "manager." He told me that I was entitled to compensation from the injuries I d received. Could I confirm my details. I told him my address was all in the report and he agreed. He sounded flummoxed. I hung up as became bored of playing them at their own game. Tossers!!
