Called twice in two days, claimed to be named "Alice" the first time (unlikely, given her heavy Indian accent), claimed to be from BT Openreach. We use a VOIP system so I put the phone down. Second time, gave no name but claimed to be calling from "[y]our electricity provider". Rang tonight, claims to be from Lloyds Bank. Very plausible. Stalled him and rang Lloyds on my other phone, they said it was a scam. Cheeky devil even had the nerve to call back after I hung up.

Further to my comments a few days ago, they still call, the call is answered, but there is no one there. NO REPUTABLE company would do this, or allow their partners to.
SCAM - claimed to be from Virgin Media and they my IP address was being used for fraudulent activity and could I conform how many devices were connected. When I asked them to confirm my account number to verify they were indeed from Virgin they put the phone down.

Just had a text from the number 012685-578577 asking me to contact Claire regarding my account with T-Mobile.I thought it strange as why would they not email or ring me so it is interesting to see it is not directly from T-Mobile. I recently got a brill deal with T-Mobile for Broadband and a brill deal for my mobile with another company.Other than actually pay me to take their products I couldnt do any better than I have. Automated call saying they are from HMRC and if you don't press one now a warrant will be issued against you for fraud. Total scam.... avoid at all costs and do NOT press one. Apparently if you do you your telephone bill will be charged an extortionate amount of money - not sure how much because, fortunately, I did not press one!!!
