My house phone was rung at 7.45 am!! I didn’t answer and no essay e was left. Suspect scam or sales call. Furious to be woken after working until 2.30 am.

Automated call from “my internet service provider” stating that illegal activity has been detected on my account and my service would be disconnected within 24-48 hours….Then gave me a load of options…press 1, press 2…etc presumably to get me to speak to someone so that they could access money in some form or other. Seemingly not legitimate. Called three times about after a very low single figure normal transaction also texted more than once. Transaction approved. Tread very carefully. This number may have been hijacked.
Said he was from BT calling about my Internet, but my contract isn't with them.
