Seems to be used for some really wide-scope telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1183280xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with very sophisticated robocalls, sometimes classical RTA - ''you have been in a car accident'', sometimes Microsoft support - general computer support, in most cases unsolicited. Being a dialler manager I have the knowledge to inform this company that they were in breach of ofcom regulations by abandoning my call and not playing a recorded message. Funny though when I called back they answered my call within 1 second. Mmm it pays to understand ofcom regs

Called asking for someone by name, who doesn't live at this address any more. I asked, who's calling please? They repeated the name. I asked again, who's calling please? and they repeated the name AGAIN. I then said,. NO, Mr X isnt calling, you are... Who are you? to which they muttered,.
