Silent call initially then through to hopeful salesman regardinga non-existent BT account

A girl called me from 01792764700 first. Then passed me onto 01792764700. I told them I have doubt about the call because the girl got my union number wrong by 1 digit and I said I would call them in the office instead. They haven t called me since a week ago. I call the first number, there was no ring tone. The second number did put me thro to an operator but I hung up. I find it a bit suspicious as they claimed to be calling on behalf of the union Unite. I am yet to find their website and already contacte

Called several times two days running. No idea who called as unable to ring them back or leave a message. Very annoying and worrying

Drop call about 2 seconds after a "private number" accident claim call so undoubtedly same company.

I have just joined the RAC and have noted 7 calls this week from this number! What say we all report them to the Information commissioner as breaching the Feedom of Information Act (Data Protection Act is section 40, subsection 1 http://www.ico.org.uk/ And not renew!

Filled in a form on line for number of nuisance calls I received they replied said they would ring and number would begin 02921 so I new I could answer it. They advised me I was on numerous cold call lists I new this ad I get dozens of calls per day. Asked foir a fee of ?49.99 to remove me from all of these lists. I do hope I have not been conned ad I m a pensioner and cannot afford to be loosing this sort of money.
