Fraud fake HMRC tax department. Asks you to press 1 to be connected. HMRC DO NOT CALL PEOPLE!!!
Received call yesterday from this number, silence from other end.another one today, again silence.most annoying.i am on tps, doesn,t seem to work with this firm, whoever it is.
Automate message, in an american female voice, stating they were from HMRC, requested that I call back to avoid prosecution. 01147001596 is a Sheffield UK number. I am sure this is a scam. HMRC would not do that

SCAM Call centre trying to give PPI refund and get your bank details
Kept calling and I kept pressing 9 to "remove" only to be called back in 5 minutes. I tried calling the different numbers back..just a dead tone. Also called on 01356 27399. Finally pressed 2 and spoke to a lady, asked her kindly but firmly to remove me from the list...sick of being harrassed, she promptly hung up on me! Hope they stop now but not likely!
