Was very rude as I did not want to be on the system for further calls. Started shouting at me when I asked why he was being rude! Said how I should be claiming back PPI and when told I was doing it myself got Ryder and shouted at me more so had no choice but to hang up! If I was an elderly person I would ve found this very frightening!

We are registered with TPS yet still they call - definitely not reputable.
The number has been hijacked by cold callers from outside the UK. The legitimate owner has contacted Ofcom but nothing can be done as the callers are outside the UK. This practice is widespread and is known as call spoofing . Basically, with the right equipment it is easy to fool telephone networks into believing you are calling from a different number from the one you are in fact using. See call spoofing on Google.
