They verified my details, knew my name and every handset/plan I already had, and after a brief chat, concluded that I didnt need anything. I get these kind of calls 1-2 a year. They are a telesales company likely working with EE. There is a lot of negative comments, but this is the way the capitalist world you live in works. Accept you will get these calls, people trying to sell your something.

Keep ringing if you answer they keep you on phone no matter what you say , if you ask them not to phone back they still do just had my 20th phone call told them I was reporting them for harassing phone calls !!!! Rang me back with silent call and cut phone off report them !

This company?s number shows up on caller ID but when you call back it says number not recognised. When I did answer to them they said they were checking that we were not getting any nuisance calls, I said we were not until they called and then they hung up.

Said they were from Everest. I got rid of them ok but when I tried to block the number with BT it didn t even show as having rung me.

This company calls me persistently, today I have had 3 calls, even though their number is blocked on my mobile and their calls are instantly disconnected. This leads me to believe they are using some automated calling app. I don t believe they are based in UK but are using UK numbers to give that impression.

Called again advising the company name as EMS of Liverpool. Refused to delete my number(I called from a withheld number) from their database unless I called with the number show...

Company called REDSTAR based in Manchester, typical call centre set up, saying they can get me refunds on PPI insurance, or cash for an accident I know nothing about... Don t give them any further personal info...Blocked.

Old scam - after your data to sell onto other criminals who disregard the law. Just hang up. Good reporting them to the ICO. You don t even need to know their name, just their number. These people repeatedly call phishing for information stating that they are calling about a car accident. Maybe some poor souls they call talk about an accident they may/ may not have had and pass on personal details. It appears to be a scam and the only way to avoid them calling is to block their number. They called my number >10 times over past 6 months and have never taken it off their system. FYI I was never in a car accident.
