Fraud - Pretending to be the HMRC
SCAM Mentioned a recent accident and tried to get me to make some sort of claim with an insurance company I am not with
I received a call today telling me he works with the UK government that he is in London and that the "government" has chosen me to claim ?6281 but to call 02032394833 straight after the call this person knew my tel number address and full name. I looked up the number on google and someone suggested to ring them (obviously) withheld and ask for their Ministry of justice authorisation number. Which I did and the guy asked why...I then replied with we ll you are able to give it to me,and if you couldn t or don
They have been calling me twice a day for two weeks. I am a s/p customer and from advice have changed my contact preferences on my account to do not contact. Im also registered with the TPS. I am now logging each call in order to report them.
