I had a call today from a South African sounding lady, from London number 020 8089 6127 said she was calling from a company called Teabag that got my suspicions up straight away, asked to speak to me by name, so she already had my name and phone number somehow. Caller claimed that I was due a refund due to me having made an over-payment. He then proceeded to ask for details of any loans I ve had. When I said I hadn t had any, he denied he had mentioned any refund or over-payment - said he had only said maybe or possibly.
Called several times - no speech, then hung up!
SCAM. Asian/Indian sounding voice but no indication of what they were calling about or from where. Just asking to speak to someone and when told person was not on this line they rang off.

They now have a new number - 0800 4 11 88 99. Like many others I took out 3 years cover on a machine I no longer have. Tried cancelling over the phone but was informed I had to write in to obtain a refund. Did that a week ago but no confirmation of received so I tried phoning several times this morning but after seven minutes a voice says "Goodbye" and the call terminates. Judging from the ringing it is on a hunt group but nobody picks up. Looks like CAB is the next stop.
