I got a call from this number, I answered and they hung up straight away, I called back and the phone just hung up

This number has called me a number of times don't speak just silence for approx 2 minutes.

Scam call (automated) saying that there was illegal activity on my broadband and that I was going to be disconnected if I did not connect with their technical support.

These guys call saying they are from EE and offering special deals. Then they asked for my personal information. When I questioned why they needed my data they stated that the number they called on (which appeared on my handset) if listed on the EE website under the security section. I hung up and checked. No such number on EE s website, so I call a contact I have at EE and she checked and stated the number is most definitely NOT EE and I should not treat the call as an EE authorised call. Rachel called said she was ringing from Leicester Hearing Clinic,she was informed I had been employed in industry and would be able to claim against hearing loss(this is untrue) she could not give me the address of the Co. in Leicester as she was calling from a Call Centre in Manchester. I told her I was registered with the TPS she said she would remove me from the data list. I informed her that I would report her Co.
