I was phoned by an 02920 (Cardiff) landline number and they said they were an organisation called Motorpal who can save you money on car servicing. Offered to send a £10 voucher off petrol and a £20 rebate off a car service I d already had as an introductory offer. The guy I spoke to (Elliott) sounded really plausible, and when I expressed doubts his supervisor came on the line and she also sounded quite genuine. Not sure if it is a scam, but concerned they knew my name, and what domestic appliances I have. We recently cancelled insurance with Domestic and General, so wondering if they have sold on our details. Told them I don't need their insurance as would by new if beyond economic repair, and the caller seemed surprised that I could fix a recent washing machine problem myself. It's not difficult to change the brushes on the motor or to unblock the filter
