auto call about a loan i supposedly applied for total scam

He offered to renew my van insurance, at a lower cost. My van insurance was not due for renewal yet he had a lot of details about me. However the van he had me as owning was from over 5 years ago, so I guess this is some old hacked database and then a scam to get your money. This guy said he was from vancompare who I have actually used before. Quite confusing but almost certainly a scam. The guy was South African

Claimed to be calling from local bank to report fraudulent use of bank card
Scam caller trying to sell mobile phone promotion. Hung up when I asked where she got my number from.
I never answer 0845 calls because they are always scammers or nuisance callers. Just don t answer them as in time (yes I know it s annoying...) they will get bored (you get de-listed) and stop calling - Moving on to the next poor unfortunate !
