This number called my mother who has dementia and has arranged to see her about double glazing. I need to know if it is genuine as this number does not answer

number i didn`t recognize along with many 0843 numbers so didn`t answer it let it ring they left no message then seconds later an unknown number rang didn`t answer either if its important they`ll leave a message i.e hospitals etc and you`ll get call back.
Call center lied saying we had requested update on BT Openreach became abusive and shouting after called out on lie, repeated calls afterwards immediately hung up on answer.
