Don't know keeps staying it Santander but rang bank and there carnt say it is or isn't then from the acutely Santander call site
claimed to be from the security department (but didn't say of which bank/credit card company) claimed to have identified two probably fraudulent transactions. invited me to press 1 to cancel or 2 to speak to someone. I pressed 2, but the line went dead. Looks to me very much like a scam.

Suspicious calls, claims to be car accident.
SCAM. 'An attempt has been made twice this morning to use your card one for £3oo in UK and for over £1000 overseas. As these are not your usual habits, to authorise them press 1.
SPAM SCAM Accident SPAM COLD CALL A man called claiming to be working for "MA" (Motor Assist) regarding a car accident I'd had that had already been resolved by my insurance company. I asked where my data came from he said "UKRI" (United Kingdom Insurance Limited) about whom he gave a lengthy description. I advised him that I wished for all of the data he held about me to be erased as per GDPR and DPA's right to erasure, he seemed surprised an I told him this was because it was all false
Claiming to be HMRC investigating fraud. Targeting the elderly.
Silent call
Credit card/bank account scam. Recorded message stated unusually high values transactions had occurred. Did a quick online check of my accounts and there were no such transactions.
Sales call just keeps ringing and not leaving a message.
