I figured out what this is! It s when a mobile sends a text message to a landline - I rang my husband s mobile from our landline and a minute or so later got a silent call from this number. Husband s mobile sends out an automatic "I m on the phone will call you back" sms if he s on the line -- and this is what the callback was. Mystery solved! I suspect that other callers are being texted on their landlines by friends who select the wrong number to text.
Fraud This call went to my voicemail and it was a recorded message trying to get me to "press 1" to try to prevent "legal action" against me and my "national insurance number". As it was a machine, the first part of the message was missing as it clearly started while my voicemail was telling it to leave a message. Nobody official is going to call using an automated voice system about soemthing as supposedly serious as some sort of possible "l
The caller phoned to tell me my cover is running out on my Sony TV. Very strange as I don t own a sony television. Not to be trusted.
Asking if you have been involved in a car accident in the last 3 years, when replied no, they hung up on me, charming company called CAH

This number called my house phone today & went to answerphone & left no message.Tried to call it back & it won't ring,just cuts you off so not a ligitimate number.Can't be up to any good then.
allegedly from Talk Talk..asian man..said there was problem with my router !! told him I was with BT, that I knew he was a scammer and hung up. He then rang back repeatedly..I just answered and hung up again immediately. Reported to ofcom, ICO and Action Fraud.

Collection agency. Who has no debt, can simply push the calls. They want to intimidate an otherwise totally.
