Bogus call saying they were HMRC and that if I didn't connect to an agent a warrant would be issued
Him: I m calling from EE, your account been chosen for special business rates. Me: But I m not with EE. Him: Oh, so you moved provider? Still uses the same network mate. Me: Network yes, but a different provider; you said my account . Him: Look mate it s just a courtesy call to (line goes dead). Verdict: Caller is not calling from EE. Fraud - At first an automated call saying your Visa card was used for £200 abroad. Press one. I pressed 3 and another person saying automated your Visa used for £600 press one. I pressed one and you are then talking to a human at which time I hung up.
SCAM. Insurance claim related scam. Claiming to be on behalf of Aviva. Rang from a similar number that I had blocked previously. Rang on Christmas Day on a special number that I have that noone knows about outside a small circle of family members (hence my answering thinking it was a Scottish family member - Glasgow number), so they must be getting number to call from EE direct as they asked for me by name. Worrying.

They are calling everyday no answer
Spoofing the number as well. A Google search indicates that the number, if genuine, belongs to a restaurant in St Helens, Merseyside.

They're pretending to be iD Mobile but they're not, god knows how they're finding what mobile service we're with to try and make the text message look genuine. The text message claims the payment didn't go through with a link they want you to go to, so i checked on iD Mobile and nooo... it did go through, a few weeks ago :P and i always get another text from them and let the texts build up a bit before i delete them so coming from a mobile number you know it's a SCAM trying to get money by saying the pa
