Instead, they are trying to hack in to your account and need you to tell them the one-time passcode that gets sent to your phone. If you give them the code, you will find yourself owing thousands of pounds for expensive new iPhones ordered under your name and delivered to the scammers. Today's call was from a young lady in a small call centre, calling herself "Shireen", with an Indian or Punjabi accent but good English l
Persistent calling purporting to be a bank (although doesn't say which), that has detected fraud on your account (?) and asks you to press number to contact them. This is a scam.

Could be a scam. Virgin Media apparently. Lady called Jenny? told me I had issues with my broadband. Nothing happened here. All good. Be careful.

pretended to me that i had won an electric toothbrush i stupidly supplied some bank details for postage supposedly of 3 then they set up a recurring direct debit and took a further 2499 without my permission so i hurredly blocked them and changed my CC i am still awaiting reimbursment from my bank

Definitely a scam. Pretended to be EE. Caught them out straight away and he hung up. Do NOT give them any information!
