Got a text from that number at 14:28 today stating: "Hey mum I've smashed my phone, please message me on this number 447706598765 urgently x I'm texting of a friends phone". I checked with my child and they said they never contacted me, therefore this must be a scam.

Company claiming to be Loan Mart. It s a British number. But when phoned the dail tone is the international one. Got offered a loan was asked to pay first months up front which I did. Then was asked to pay extra for PPI. Asked for my money back and told them I would report them to the police if it wasn t returned. Asian / Indian sounding male, called stating he was from Lloyd s tsb, he asked for Mrs Bretherton. When I told them no one here of that name, he asked me to confirm my name ad postcode, I refused and asked that he remove my number from his database, he told me he couldn t as it was an automatic dialer, and he needed my name and postcode to remove it .
