I did not have time to answer the call, but I live in iceland and have no buissness with UK so there is no reason for them to be calling me. To me that indicates this number could be a scam

Called my grandma whilst I was here, she pressed 1 as instructed and passed the phone over to me. Someone who sounded possibly French? Either way barely understandable, said he was an officer from HMRC, I put the phone down and dialed 1471, it was a mobile number which confirmed my suspicions of this being a scam. Educated my grandma on this issue. Hate to think what would have happened if I wasn't here and how many other people they have conned!

Wanted access to my PC and email and online shopping accounts - saying I had wrong IP address and they would fix it. Told me they were BT Telecoms. Gentleman was Asian but said his name was Travis Smith. I'm not positive it was scam but scam behaviour
