It's a fake number I don't even drive and they just rang then changed the story that I was a passenger in a accident
Government ‘type’ Recorded message. Caller was a man and speaking in a very English urgent alarming voice. Informing me of multiple fraudulent use of my National Insurance number ant that unless I pressed option 1 now proceedings could be taken against me also with cancelling my access to my accounts etc.. or something along those lines. Luckily I took the call on my iPad so wasn’t able to press option 1. Which is just as well as I tried to thinking it was genuine at the time. It would frighten many.

Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. This number calls to say they KNOW you’ve had a car accident , then they ask you to confirm details .
This is a private genuine home number (my parents). Some how today 25/1/17 they started getting calls always from UK mobile numbers 07xxxxxx saying that they had a missed call from their landline 01858466666. As soon as they put the phone down another call would come through again from another UK mobile number saying that had a missed call. This went on for an hour until they had to unplug the phone. They have reported it to BT who said they couldn t do anything unless they paid about ?80 for a blocking
