This is a scam. They are saying they are from BT, however the following is true (as I worked for BT for 36 years). 1 - BT do not ring you on a mobile number (unless and engineer has an appointment at your house that you know about). 2 - The phone is registered to Vodaphone, BT do not use any other networks for their own use. 3 - He could not give me my BT account number. 4 - He said he was from Millenium City London, this mobile number is located in Manchester! Suspect this is a scam, automated call from a mobile saying my national insurance number has been compromised in West Wales and to press 1 to avoid prosecution. Needless to say I didn't press 1.
Something about HMRC with a robotic voice telling you to press number 1, i didn't press anything, may be a scam.

Called received - automated message claiming to be from Visa regarding large transaction on my card and to press 1 to stop the payment. Didn't sound right. Called it back to get no answer and eventually the default EE voicemail message

SCAM / HARRASSING Very thick Indian accent, supposedly calling from "the technical department". They hung up when I questioned how they got my phone number. They've phoned six times this morning and I had to physically unplug my phone to get it to stop.

They phoned me to say they were Microsoft Specials. Told me my PC had a fault - possibly Virus Infected - and first tried to access my PC via Teamviewer.
