SCAM / SPAM - automated message from HMRC regarding tax fraud and Says press 1 or a warrant will be issued for your arrest and the police will be contacted. Pressed one spoke to an operator, all I gave him was my name (luckily there are several people with the same name - when he was told I was on benefits He said ‘hang on a moment’ the hung up after a long pause. Please be careful people this is a a definite scam
Tried to convince me they work for BT and noticed I've had issues with my broadband, when I informed him I knew this was a scam as I'd already received the same call a few days ago he hung up very quickly. If the call had been allowed to progress I assume they would have asked me to allow them access to my computer where they could have hacked me.
This telephone number was within a (presumably) scam email about a (non existant) bit coin purchase
Kitchen and bathroom sales people.
this number comes up as a parking management compnay , can they therefore explain why someone from that number has phoned me to say I am due a PPI payout of £3500 and just wanted to verify who I am to arrange payment, foreign accent and poor english , maybe a wee sideline conning folk waiting on a parking fee coming in from an NHS nurse-pathetic !!
Saying there from Amazon and my card has been charged £399
Pretended to be from my bank saying my card had been used, obviously a bank wouldn't phone on a mobile.
