Cold calling about google adwords. VOIP lines werent working so could understand what bloke was saying. First rule of telephone sales, make sure you can be understood.
Caller (with Asian sounding accent)said he was from BT Technical. He wanted to save me from losing my internet connection by taking me through a security checking process. I told him that I wasn t with BT and that he was a scammer. He was pretty persistent and came up with one story after another until I hung up on him 5 about minutes later. I have now blocked his number but I suspect that he and his associates (lots of voices in background) have many lines at their disposal. If only BT could block them!
