Agree with all previous comments . I work in fraud so I continued to act stupid when I answered the 3rd and carried on with call having them think I was hooked. No doubt a scam from the outset. A “supervisor” took over. They try to put your mind at rest by saying they are not wanting your card number. To validate being able to stop all nuisance calls they want your bank details to confirm. I made up a 6 digit sort code and account number. They then said they would take a one off payment of £21 which would s
Included on a letter claiming to be British Gas. However checking on the British Gas website (They have a phone number checker) shows this to be a number unknown to British Gas themselves.
