Nuisance calls! Once you answer,they hang up! I have now blocked their number. I've read that it is something to do with smart meters,though.

Call supposedly from British Gas asking if we were in the following day so engineer could check our appliances under the protection plan. I said I didn t think I had appliances covered, the caller said No you don t, it s to check your boiler I then said I din t think the check was due for another 3 months at which point they hung up. I note from answer machine that the same number called again later the same day. Suspect it is some sort of scam
