Claimed to be calling from Amazon about illegal/suspicious "activity on your account", as a result of which a charge of over £1,000 to "the card linked to the account" had been stopped. Spam from a company that will ask to get money from you through a voucher (3V prepaid voucher) because they say:"You have been accepted for a personal loan". By any cost, do not believe them, trust me, I have been there. They just take your money, and that s it, you have to pay more and more charges after that. So DO NOT FALL FOR THIS.

Generally when there s a long pause before they answer, it s safe to say it s a call centre that I m going to have zero interest in talking to. Whistle loudly down the phone. They don t tend to call back again. ;)

Scam, they pretend to be from Amazon and say they're confirming receipt of credit card payment for iphone. They then ask you to press 1 to speak to someone if you haven't made this payment. Just ignore the call, they're trying to get your card details so they can actually take money from you.

Claims to be calling form HMRC and that they spotted fraudulent activities on your tax account and you need to press 1 in order to talk to their next available agent. It says if you don't press 1 you will be arrested shortly. Fraud Indian Scammers FAKE Carphone Warehouse. Tried to sell a new iPhone 13 but they will ask for bank account & steal your money.
SCAM - Person claimed they were from UK Insurance Department / Black Horse Finance. Had my name & first line of my address (somewhat disturbingly) and wanted me to verify further information for a PPI refund, even though I had never claimed for a PPI refund. They wouldn't give me a number to call and when I said this couldn't be correct, the date for claiming for PPI has long gone and companies aren't ringing people out of the blue years when they haven't claimed, he hung up.
From background noise it was a call centre, but after a short time they hung up without speaking.
SCAM says that it's HMRC investigating tax fraud.
