Had a call from an Indian chap asking to speak to a woman I ve never heard of so I indulged him to try and find out what he was calling for. He said they were a debt consolidation company so I asked who was financially backing them. He said he couldn t tell me so I advised him that the information should be public knowledge and available from Companies House. Just had a call from them and when a I said I'd not had an accident, the woman just hung up on me. Perhaps a spell at Charm School wouldn't go amiss with them...

Name of company was something or other polls. Caller had a heavy Asian accent and I think he has called many times before for different companies. Said he wanted to ask me only four questions about my use of brands but his first question was to confirm my address, at which point I hung up.

I have today insisted on speaking with a supervisor and informed them that I will treat any further calls from their number as nuisance and causing harm! Informed them that I will sue for harm should I ever receive a call again! Informed the supervisor - who informed me that they were recording the conversation - that was good as I would be relying upon that as part of my evidence should they ever call me again. Now too wait and see if they do remove my number

For once, an unknown number that is actually legit. It was a call from Thames Water. I didn t answer as I didn t recognise the number but the voice message was genuine with specific details (including the correct address) about a drainage issue I d discussed with them earlier. Genuine call.
