Automated call claiming to be from Amazon about a potential fraud on my account and asking me to press 1 on my phone. Amazon do not have the number dialed - scam attempt.

This number called today pretending to be from BT and our Broadband would be disconnected unless we did something (don't know what as I ended the call as we do not have BT ...

We get calls every day from this company, whoever they are, asking to speak to a Mr Michael Johnson. We tell them every time that nobody with that name lives here and to stop calling. To no avail. Sounds like they are calling from abroad so registering with the telephone preference service doesn t work in this case.

It s an Indian based call centre who seem to be trying to sell financial services under the guise of a marketing questionnaire but their accents are so heavy it s hard to work out what exactly they are saying.
Been getting calls from this number all week, today I was in, was calling on behalf of PaymentShield (?) trying to sell home insurance. They were polite and courteous, not pushy, I just said no thanks and they went away. The worrying thing is how did they get my name and number, and how did they know my insurance is due for renewal?

SCAM Call Themselves 'Domestic Appliances'. Phoned numerous times, totally ignore Telephone Preference Service as they have been told I have registered for this service. They have no information on my appliance as it was fitted by friend who runs a business in this market. It is a marketing company trying to sell something (of what use I don't know). DO NOT EVEN ENTERTAIN THEM. THEY ARE THERE TO RIP YOU OFF. PUT THE PHONE DOWN ASAP.
