They call leaving voicemails saying ‘this is not a marketing call, please call back’ I’ve also had texts asking to call back quoting the following reference number...which is different every time. And the name they use to address me via text spells both my first and last name wrong (not just one letter wrong, almost incoherently wrong!) so I will be blocking these obvious scammers!

Got a call from this number, as I answered the phone they used my nickname which was very odd. Proceeded to say that I had two friends who had been recently and recommended me, one of whom I hadn't heard of but the other was a close friend. Listened to the promotion she had (she was very polite), I asked for an email address/website to look at as well as the lady's name (which she did not provide) so she told me I had to book over the phone. I have received 4 calls from this number in the last 24 hours. It is a recorded message from a woman purporting to be from a firm of solicitors dealing with my PPi claim- I don't have any such claim so didn't phone back. Yet snother scam- how can they be stopped?
