Apparently I applied for life insurance, even though what I suffer from life insurance can't cover. Never ACTUALLY even googled life insurance, simply talked to my partner as he's reaching his 50s in a few years. But this guy was persistent and insisted I applied, so I asked the name of his business and he couldn't answer. Google didn't even acknowledge the number. DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR DETAILS IF YOU ANSWER BECAUSE IT WONT COME UP AS SPAM CALLER

I missed a call from this number just now (3.4.23 at 12.51). My son works in Glasgow and I was worried that something might have happened. I tried to call it back x3 and each time, after a long pause, the call failed to connect.
SPAM So today this number called me at least 21 times, it started calling after I was silly and signed up on a suspicious website.

This number is not secure, it is scammers pretending to be from O2, offering a 50% discount off your monthly bill. Tempting, obviously. They say a text will be sent to confirm this, followed by another text with a code to activate the offer. They will then ask you to repeat the code to them BUT doing this will allow them to take control over your account and possibly other info on your phone. Something didn't feel right so when they rang back for the code I didn't answer but googled O2 scams. Beware.

Female who claimed her name was Grace Parker used this number to try and scam my 75 year old father in law out of £400 using a scam involving Nationwide building society. luckily the transaction was stopped in time and he didn't end up £400 worse off. The local Police have been informed and are investigating.

Called on 10th Feb 2023. Man with an Indian accent claiming to be from Virgin Media. Told me our IP address had been hacked and changed from a UK to a US one. Obviously total rubbish and scam. Wanted me to speak to a 'very knowledgeable engineer' to connect to my computer and 'fix it'. No doubt wanted me to connect to and open a scam website. He eventually hung up when I told him I was actually a network engineer but was quite persistent.
Had 3 calls over the last few days from various numbers all starting with the same dalling code, 01926. As this is the code where we live, answered the first call - no immediate response but after a few seconds, over a very crackly line, what sounded like a well spoken middle aged white lady, said something along the lines of 'suspicious transactions on my account, one for £300 odd & the other for £1,400 odd & I must do certain things at which point I hung up. Just noticed this number on my Vodafone call list at a cost of £2.82 for 0 seconds!! Certainly don’t remember calling this number and getting through to a human at Vodafone is virtually impossible unless you are prepared to set aside at least an hour of your time ????
Automated call Although not in my address book, number came up on my phone as being from Eastern Avenue Baptist Church and showed the address of 119 East Raod, Dagenham, Romford RM6 6YJ Automated message said I was being investigated and if I did not make contact with one of their officers, my National Insurance number would be withdrawn and then asked me to press 1 to speak to someone. Felt suspect.
