American accent male stating they are calling from the financial conduct authority and have suspicious transactions on one of my accounts. “Press 1 to talk to a person about this” Generic auto call, no specific info sounds like a scam possibly but I ended the call without doing anything.

Asked for email address as I didn't have the time to speak, told them to send me an email as they seemed to have my info, but he could only confirm my name, so I hung up. +44 1223 252910 and various similar numbers... SCAM - hangs up as soon as you answer. The scam is to get you to call the number back, at which point you will get charged ££££ - DON’T CALL BACK! Delete/block number on your phone. Bear in mind, if it was a genuinely important personal/business call for you, whoever it was will find a way to let you know.

Same officious voice that has called from different no.s beginning 777191 re Inland Revenue etc, threatening court etc. I hung up after the first few words which I think were fraud squad, got an order bla bla. I block these numbers but they keep changing the calling number.
