I was in an accident recently that was not my fault. They had all the details. They said they were my insurance company and i would be receiving a 2 grand pay out as I had been in the car. Then proceeded to transfer me to a no win no fee solicitor who attempted to coerce me into saying that I was injured. I am now regularly called by them.

South East Asian caller, said that they were located in Bradford though the number comes up Swansea. Company called Beneficial, knew my personal details and wanted me to confirm. When I refused and asked what the call was about I was told that it was about my shopping habits and lifestyle. The caller did not verify the reason to call at the begining....wanted me to confirm my identity first.

A message was left by a man speaking really fast saying he received my portofolio and that i should call him back for a chat. It s a scam whatever it is. I haven t sent any portofolio out. I was called at lunchtime today from phone no. 01618501883. A recorded message stated that they were from HMRC and that there was a lawsuit against me and that I should press 1 to speak to my case officer. I knew it was a scam and looked on this website to confirm the fact. How many people fall for this scam (especially the elderly)? I know an individual can block these numbers and I have done just that. But surely if HMRC or other organisations are aware of this scam, BT should be able to block/disconnect
