The call was allegedly from Sure Cover to revise my life insurance cover, then they said I was eligible for a better price and they tried to pass me to another department but I hang the call at that point. I searched and I found an article confirming it's a scam.

SCAM I have had 3 calla from this number saying they Are from Microsoft and saying there are viruses on my pc/laptop:::::::::::::::;:; These people are dangerous she wanted to take over my laptop by saying she knew my laptop ID. So I asked her for my ID and I would check it and ring Microsoft back. She came up For all sorts of resins so I hung up She rang back and my husband answered and said he didn’t know anyone. These call Are becoming more and more frequent and even though I have asked to be removed from their database I still Get them I even got a call 10 mins after I had been quite rude to the man on the previous call ! They are persistent and asking for my details so that they can send me a link to a webinar even though I have been very clear that I am not interested. I think it might be a phishing call

This number was the one that appeared on my phone as having called me, after receiving an automated call supposedly from Visa, informing me of suspicious transactions on my account and to press 1 to accept or 2 if I did not. Later I phoned this number, using 141 beforehand so they would not know who called, and a man answered...just an "ordinary sounding guy", no mention of an office/bank/or fraud squad. I asked to speak to a random person and apologised for dailling a "wrong number"..

Computer assisted agent asked about a car accident, kept asking about accidents and someone hitting my car. In the end I said I had an accident last night and was transferred to a real person. He just kept saying "Hello", probably because I muted the call :)

PPI scam - calls my mobile several times a day, everyday. They ask for me by name then go on about I am due a PPI refund. They change their number by 1 digit, but I have blocked all of them so far, so their calls are now auto-rejected. To say that the phone number is localised to Plymouth is laughable, first an automated service saying it was a message from Chinese royal mail, then proceeded to talk in Chinese so had no clue what was being said.
