I see already previous comments about calls from this UK number made to Portuguese numbers. Mine included so it must be spam. But why targeting Portugal?

Contacted from this number by automated contact stating it was ‘bank security’ advising I had money taken from my account and asking me to press a number to speak to someone. Did not feel it was genuine at all.

Recorded message saying from bank fraud team.I hung up and checked number which is registered to a property firm in Edinburgh.

Received an email from PayPal this morning saying that a money request from someone called Johna Radcliffe for 899.99 GBP, with the message "suspicious activity found in your account 899.99 gbp has been debited called us immediately to report @ +44-800-368-9757. Cold-calling scam regarding "financial market investments", likely based overseas as the caller's proferred name did not seem to correlate with their accent. Nervous laughter and unconvincing denial from the caller when accused of being a scammer and asked if they were based in Kolkata. Avoid.

Pretending to be from Virgin Media Cyber security department, informing me that there is someone in California using my IP address for illegal purposes, but he would help me sort it out. Refused to tell me the name on the account or the account number because it was a recorded call, having told me it was a secure line and that he would "prove" to me that he was from Virgin if I gave him the information he asked for.

Scammers. They say they are from Blockchain.com, but they want you to put money on a dormant account so you can reactivate it and take the whole amount from the account. These people used 56 different numbers to call me, but I keep them on a string and let them lose their time so they cannot mislead other people in that time.
