"energy consultant for Essex" told me my loft insulation was out of date and unhealthy. Wanted to sell me (with amazing discounts) foam that gets sprayed under my roof. Another company that doesn t check the TPS.

I changed my mobile number recently and this number has called me twice in two days. I would like to know who it and what they expect to gain from calling me.

30 Sep 2021 - Claims to be an insurance company calling about my minor car accident (which I haven't had). Every time I block a number they call back on a different one - all Glasgow based. Totally sick of these calls now as I've had 8 of them over the last couple of weeks.Reply

A Jennifer Hood 0151 324 0046 said we would be given a cheque for ?2,170 by a David Austin 07937 423 246 who would come to our house. In return we had to get a ucash voucher for ?152 from our local newsagent to give him. Obviously a scam.

This number which is a Glasgow code, called and an indistinct, mumbled young female voice asked for me by name, said she was phoning from another mumbled company and had I had any accidents in my car in the last few years. I said no, and she said oh well then and hung up. Some kind of scam with bad line and mumbled names part of the act.
