This number is ao.com. They ring it when you ve placed an order in the pretence of confirming delivery details etc. In fact, their sole purpose is to sell you their costly insurance cover for the items you ve bought. No new information re delivery details is provided, they just repeat your order details. These are unsolicited scripted insurance sales calls and as such a form of harassment. They don t leave a message when they ring so that you ring back and incur the cost of the call. Very shoddy behaviour.
When call is answered person gives first name, but no company details. nSome staff can be abusive to caller.
Call several times a day and leave no message. Nuisance despite us being registered with TPS :-(

I didn't catch the company name but it was something to do with home cover - the man asked if I was me, so I said no but could I help. He said he was ringing about the cover on the washing machine at (gave my address), he said it had expired and he just wanted to check if the machine was still in good working order. I said I didn't understand and that he must have the wrong people

Option at the end of the call to press 9 to have your number removed; however, I did that last week and have received the same call twice since then. Didn’t take the call on my landline but they left a pre recorded message informing me that my card had been used in a foreign transaction twenty minutes before and that I should press 1 to stop it. I rang the number from my mobile a couple of times and each time got the busy tone. I reckon it’s a poor attempt at a scam.

caller didnt announce himself, just asked me to confirm personal details but when i asked, he claimed to be from "the nationwide". He had my name, phone number and postcode. He wanted me to confirm my age but as soon as i asked him further questions he hung up and ended the call. This was obviously not a legitimate call from the nationwide building society.

Previous times, offensive or obscene comments because I told him I knew all about him and his dirty tricks! UK telephone number is bogus ? they are overseas somewhere. NEVER call back.
