01986684739 Caller (Paul Smith) with a very strong indian accent, claimed to be from Virgin Media technical team - did not do any security. Asked me what colour light was on WiFi box. I asked him why no security? He said he was regulated by OFCOM and not allowed to take any personal details. He claimed to have my service record number, all his calls are recorded, the call would not cost me anything and was calling to help me with issues with my internet that have flagged up on their system and malware. Claimed to be calling about an accident that was reported. Scammers.
Claiming to be from the National Accident Database (aren t they all?) and calling from a local number, these people do not take no for an answer, calling multiple times despite being told I was not interested and had had no unclaimed car accident claim. Strangely when asked for their company registration number they hung up.
