Scottish lady asking to confirm my address and date of birth, I then asked who she was calling from when she said PRA group. I said I was not prepared to give my details and asked them to remove my telephone number. She said thats not possible as its regarding a business issue so we will call back another time. I said you will get the same answer no matter when you called back. She said thats fine we will just call back another time. I shall be reporting them to OFCOM as this is illegal.

Said they were BT technical and that there were problems with lines in my postcode (quoted my correct postcode) and that my internet would be affected (don't have any BT connection). Knew it was a scam so led them on for a few minutes - they wanted me to log onto a website, so played dumb and eventually got called a monkey and she hung up. People with a BT line may fall for this if they're not wise to how scammers work
