Didn’t take the call on my landline but they left a pre recorded message informing me that my card had been used in a foreign transaction twenty minutes before and that I should press 1 to stop it. I rang the number from my mobile a couple of times and each time got the busy tone. I reckon it’s a poor attempt at a scam.

Old scam - after your data to sell onto other criminals who disregard the law. Just hang up. Good reporting them to the ICO. You don t even need to know their name, just their number. Was called three time in 20 minutes. Silence. On third call I told them to stop calling and was told to " disconnect the line, you c..t" This is at 8 in the morning. How do these scammers get away with it?
Sarcastic and rude male just kept repeating he wanted to give me a quote for car warrenty on my car (mentioned make and model along with car reg!) Wouldn t remove my number when asked. I insisted to be put through to a human being who doesn t have attitude. When I was I told them unless they remove my number, I shall deafen their telecallers with a whistle next time they call, and I hope they suffer for it. Automated call Recieved a call from this number threatening it was a Fraud investigation giving me a reference number then directing me to press one to get through to an agent. If I hung up and ignored the call I may end up with a fine or court proceedings.no reference as to what the call was related to? Very strange and no reason why I would even recieve such a call. I ended call without proceeding but want others to watch out for such calls as the ber search brought up nothing in terms of an organisation
There new one is that Nexbridge have brought numbers in my local area 01788 241684, no message left, crappy music and no answer on calling back, I am very angry as my daughter is ill and so I might get a call from a local number. A well spoken English accent for a change from the usual child caller. They at least had the business owners name for a change but the usual failure to state their name or purpose was present, my suggestion that the owner had gone to Tunisia for the summer will, no doubt, fail to put them off their mission of calling every day for the foreseeable future.
