Indian sounding man purporting to be from the Telephone Preference Service. Sounded extremely unlikely. Probably a scam. I put the phone down.
This caller was one of three unwanted calls in one morning. My landline gave a couple of rings only. Suspicious, I took a note of the number and looked it up. Sure enough, I see others have been pestered by calls from the same number.

Eastern sounding girl nice voice, informing me that my washing machine cover had expired on the 12th July, to continue with the cover I had two options, one year for £99, or three years for £199. I explained I was paying a lot less for my cover. She proceeded to tell me my house number and post code, I said I don’t want to go ahead, she asked if I wanted to cancel the cover I said yes, and promptly told her where to stick her phone.

Other sites have reported this number as being Asian accent, rude and purporting to fix computer and being from talk talk. Such calls are scams and I received this call today. Have kept note of other numbers they use.
