I assume this was a phishing attempt as the automatic message claimed to be from "my bank" (no specific bank mentioned) warning me of an Amazon debit and a large international transfer. Press 1 to speak to an "advisor".
The call was about loft Insulation and was from A to B Homes. The caller wanted to know if my house qualified. When I asked where the company was based the caller terminated the call. I then rang back the number and a different voice answered. I asked for the name and address of the company and he replied 18 Walton road Southampton SO19 0JB. This is a residential address. just called by this number. A robot call, falsely claiming my (credit card?) account has been charged twice and asking me to call another number. I immediately hung up and checked my account. No such sums had been taken. The large number of calls made from this number appears to confirm a scam attempt.
Has tried to ring my house phone now 3 days in a row! 2nd may @ 16.45pm 3rd may @ 19.10pm 4th may @12.15pm They will possably try again today 5th may at some point! It is illegal now to cold call ppl so i will be reporting there call attempts Luckly my housephone dont ring if scammers or ppl not in my phone try to ring but still what there doing is now illegal to do
