Each time I make a purchase from Amazon, an automated call comes from this number, advising me that my Amazon Prime has been renewed for another year at a cost of £79.99, and asking me to press 1 to cancel or 2 to confirm. I do not subscribe to Amazon Prime and have checked my Amazon account to confirm this. The number has called on 3 occasions on 1 day.

I have had over 40 calls from these people on their new number 0161 939 7225. These scammers are trying to get you to claim PPI and will not take no for an answer. They called my mobile a month ago and I strung this chap along for over 8 minutes since it was a landline to mobile call, thinking that they would pay a lot for the this scam call. Received text from this number claiming "PayPal have detected unusual activity on your account. Please follow the link to confirm your information https://pp-resolution-centre108.com?p=4".
Tried to pretend BT to block calls asked for bank details.If BT they already have them its a scam.
Fraud They said something about a warrant being out for my arrest due to tax evasion and to press 1 before further action was taken. I hung up right away. Quite a scary message and I could see vulnerable people being convinced that this is real.
Do not answer it. At the end you have a contract that you can not withdraw. The book continues money from. Either on the contract or on the pre paid card or directly from the bank.

They called me today about an industrial accident I had. I didn t. When I asked where they were calling from she said Plymouth. I live in Plymouth but judging by other comments, they were calling from Darlington. Asked her for name of company and she said Industrial Workers Office. I gave them an earful and hung up. Let s see if they call back.

Despite registration with the TPS, I had two cold calls about an alleged car accident in which I was involved but I do not own a car and certainly was not involved in an accident on the date claimed. The caller claimed to be from a company called Solicitors Law Firm and to have got details of my alleged accident from the UK National Traffic Department but as far as I can ascertain neither organisation exists. They witheld their phone number but claimed to be calling from 01527 821239.
