SCAMMER claiming to be from British Telecom. Indian accent. Noisy unprofessional background with chatter not indicative of a genuine BT Adviser Centre. Said my internet line had been hijacked via another country. Wanted remote access to resolve and block alleged hacking. Said my internet would be terminated in two days. I politely accepted his fate and hung up. If any complete stranger mentions you install TeamViewer, asks you to visit some random URL IP address, mentions anything pertaining to remote acces
Unsure? Said that if I ignore then I would lose my national insurance number and that I have to appear in front of a magistrate. Called me twice now.

Scam
Number called me on my work mobile which is not connected to any of my personal bank accounts claiming a £900 debit was due to go through on my Visa Debit Card. Advised if I did not make the payment to press 1 to get it cancelled as a possible fraud. After pressing one international old tone kicks in and accented woman answers 'hello' No way is this anything to do with banking or fraudulent payments. Be careful.
SCAM from call centre, spoofed number? Claims to be BT security. Claims internet IP address has been compromised and is being used for illegal activities. I told him I'd have to stop down loading all the porn and he said "F*** you!" and hung up to the sound of me and my beloved laughing our heads off. Deadly, loose your cool and the game's up.
