Where I ve determined a purpose, the caller s been offering, "financial advice." Possible scam. Reported by SeaWolf

My wonderful BT 6500 stops my phone ringing everytime these fishing scammers call, and they call a lot normally after 8pm. Wish I could give them payback.

Had calls from 01509 553080 and 553082 saying they are from carphone Warehouse Head Office. Am expecting a call back today, but will ask for this deal to be confirmed in email.When you call the numbes back one is a message saying "Carephone Warehouse" the other is a message saying E2Save" is would guess this is not a Carphone warehouse employee and as a result will remove my business from them and go direct with the Service Provider.

Asked whether I was from Kettering, Corby or Wellingborough and got shitty with me when I asked what it was about - was told nothing more than its was grassroots campaign and that when she knew which town, she could tell me more. I hung up.

Claims to be a debt collection agency on behalf of Paypal (Yes I do have an ongoing dispute with Paypal), Google seems to support this fact. However after he asked me to confirm security details, I told him no - and I will only discuss/deal with Paypal direct. He told me I d receive a letter and email from them, again I said unless it comes from Paypal - I ain t dealing with you. Caller hung up.

Irritated by constant sales calls from this company. How much ink can a domestic user get through, for heaven s sake? Especially annoyed when caller hangs up as soon as you answer. Won t buy from them again if they persist with almost weekly calls.

I have not answered to these people. Not once. Yet, they call at least weekly. I ve got a years line rental with BT paid for up-front, which allows me to block 99% of unwanted calls (with a BT blocker phone purchased separately, in case anyone was wondering). This caller would likely be asking to speak with Mr Strevitt or Mr Gwendoline. As has been the nature of the calls for the past 3 years. When I tried to politely decline advertising, I was told abruptly that the caller would call me again next year! Very aggressive and unnecessary.

Keeps calling then hanging up

Potential scam. There was a recorded message supposedely from my internet service provider (although it didn't say which ISP they were calling on behalf), saying that our internet service would be disconnected in 4 hours due to 'Router Malfunction'. Our router is working fine. I suspect this is a 'Technical Support Scam', where we would be expected to pay for fixing something that isn't broke.
