TalkTalk scam caller. Wants to get into your computer to steal bank details and put in malware.

I was out at the time but no message left on the answerphone

They said I was entitled to PPI on a loan, credit card or morgage I have taken out. I then explained I haven t had any of the above and then he went on saying about how banks are the main offenders and asking me what bank I was with. I did tell him this but nothing else, in the end he gave up and said sorry for wasting your time as I repeated what I had said at the start and said I ve never had a loan or anything

No one should have my number as its new and not in the phone book not happy

Caller said (with a very Asian accent)she was "Mary-Not-Selling just asking your opinion, ok?" I said it wasn t OK and hung up. I could have said that my opinion was that she was at best a nuisance, but more likely a con artist.

My brother got a call from this number asking for a gas meter reading. He was not sure where the caller was from but a 1471 and internet search brought up this number as belonging to British Gas. However I am not with British Gas but with Southern Electric, for at least the last 6 years. I called Southern Electric who said they did not call for any reading and would not do so. They ask for a person by name, then when you tell them sorry wrong number they continue by telling you it may be of use to you. never got any further because i told her not to bother
